Adhemar Leonardo, 20, was arrested on Monday, March 18, after he was seen driving a black 2009 Infiniti G37 southbound on Danbury Road and accelerated, moved into the right-hand lane and then passed another vehicle as the southbound lanes merged into one, said the Wilton Police Department.

When officers approached the vehicle they reported smelling a strong odor of marijuana coming from inside, police said. Leonardo first told officers there no was no marijuana in his vehicle, but eventually said there was pot inside the center console, police said.

A search of the vehicle turned up .99 grams of marijuana, a digital scale, a red grinder, and a small glass pipe. All of the drug paraphernalia allegedly contained marijuana residue, police added.
